Sewickley Academy announces summer programming open to all
Registration is open for 2022 summer programming at Sewickley Academy — and it is open to everyone, not just students of the school.
“We’re bringing back old favorites and introducing a variety of new programs for all ages,” said Ruth Neely, Director of Libraries at Sewickley Academy and the 2022 Summer Programs Coordinator. “This year, we’re excited to launch a pilot program offering options for adults, as well. We’re hoping for a mix of parents who want to stay on campus while their children are at programs and adults from all over the region who are looking for an engaging way to learn something new.”
The Academy unveiled a new website for this year’s week-long summer programs, including an improved registration process. It’s now possible to browse through all of the available offerings by grade level or by week of availability. Programs are available for pre-kindergarten through grade 12, and, for the first time, adult programming is available. Prices for each week-long program vary by topic.
Programming options include athletics and gaming such as baseball, basketball, soccer, tennis, lacrosse and games similar to what they’d experience in a physical education class. There are science and academic programs for future doctors and veterinarians, astronauts, engineers and mathematicians. For those looking to spend a week absorbed in creativity, choose from pottery, pop/rock singing, acting and Broadway stars. There are test prep, tutoring and loads of other opportunities, as well.
