Three Sewickley Academy Senior School students have been accepted to PMEA District 1 Orchestra and Choir.

Juniors Hallie Dong, violin I, and Jaydon Kurian, violin II, have been accepted to the PMEA District 1 Orchestra. Both students were chosen by a selection committee from a large and competitive pool of applicants from area schools across five counties. In addition to their upcoming performance on Feb. 10, both students will have a chance to audition for the regional and state-level orchestras.

Sophomore Ben Holsopple, bass, has been accepted to the PMEA District 1 Choir. Holsopple was also chosen from a competitive pool of candidates from five counties through a live audition process in late November. He also may audition to pursue regional and state-level choirs in addition to his upcoming performance on Jan. 26.

The acceptance of these students by the audition committee reflects the high aptitude of each musician, as well as their commitment to their musical craft on and off campus.
