Sewickley Academy unveiled its renovated Middle and Senior School Cafeteria last month, featuring a completely revamped space with an elevated dining experience.

“We are excited to introduce an enhanced experience for our Middle and Senior School students,” said Dave DeNardo, chief financial and operating officer. “This update, along with the Senior School renovation and other recent campus improvements, allows us to continue offering our students and families the high-quality, comprehensive educational experience they deserve.”

The project completely transformed the dining space, placing a strong emphasis on nutrition and sustainability. Updates include a fresh, expanded menu, sustainable tableware, modernized kitchen equipment, new lighting and a redesigned layout that enhances flow and function.

The Academy’s dining service provider, Metz Culinary Management, is also reimagining and expanding its menu offerings for all divisions. A new partnership with Rivendale Farms will bring fresh, locally sourced seasonal ingredients to the Middle and Senior Schools as well as the Lower School.

The new menu offers a mix of signature dishes and longtime favorites, complemented by a rotating selection of international cuisine. The deli features specialty sandwiches, wraps and fresh, house-made soups, while the Villa serves calzones, strombolis, flatbreads and classic pizzas.

Other recent projects at the Academy include a renovation of the Senior School interior, the relocation of the Kindergarten Center, the creation of a Junior Pre-Kindergarten space and updates to the Early Childhood playground.

Additionally, Rea Auditorium has undergone lighting and sound upgrades, and the second floor of the Lower School received its final enhancements from the remodeling project completed during the previous summer.
