As coronavirus cases continue to surge in Allegheny County and across the country, the Sewickley area’s numbers remain conservative.
As of Dec. 16, there have been 79 total cases of the novel coronavirus in the Borough of Sewickley since March, according to the latest information provided by an interactive Allegheny County covid-19 map. No deaths have been reported, and 754 tests have been administered to Sewickley residents.
Sewickley’s case rate is 2.1%.
Since the pandemic began, Sewickley Heights has had 289 cases, Sewickley Hills has had 13, Edgeworth’s count is 29, Leetsdale has had 22, Leet has had 45, and Glen Osborne has recorded 10 cases. No deaths have been reported in any of these areas.
Of all of the communities, Sewickley Height’s case rate is the highest at 35.7% of residents testing positive.
