Antioch Baptist Church

Sunday school is every first Sunday of the month at 9:30 a.m.
Morning worship and praise service is weekly at 10:45 a.m.

Beth Samuel Jewish Center

Beth Samuel Jewish Center offers weekly Shabbat services, family services once a month, and Kabbalat Shabbat services online once per month. There is also Religious School every Sunday.
First Friday: Family Service at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary, followed by an Oneg in the social hall.
Shabbat Morning Services: Saturday mornings at 10 a.m. in the sanctuary, followed by a Kiddush in the social hall.
Kabbalat Shabbat Services: Usually on the third Friday of the month, at 7 p.m. on Zoom. Contact the office for the link. This get-together frequently includes a visiting musician, cantor, rabbi or other noteworthy guest.

Sewickley Presbyterian Church

Worship Services are held at 8 a.m., 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. each Sunday. Education hour for all ages is at 10 a.m. on Sundays.
Club 345, the after-school club for kids in grades 3, 4 and 5, is now meeting on Fridays from 3:45 to 5:15 p.m. at the Faith House. Kids enjoy a snack, play games, and work on a mission project. All kids are welcome to attend. Registration is available on the church website.
St. Brendan’s Episcopal Church

St. Brendan’s is an open, welcoming and active church that holds in-person worship with Eucharist at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Sundays, and 6 p.m. Wednesdays. The Sunday 10 o’clock service is also livestreamed on YouTube. Sunday School and nursery coverage are available for children at the 10 a.m. service. A Children’s Service is held on the fourth Sunday of every month at 10 a.m. in which young members actively participate in various aspects of the liturgy.
Ash Wednesday is Feb. 14, when two Eucharist services will be available, at noon and 6 p.m., Ashes will be administered at both.
The parish will hold its annual Shrove Tuesday Dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 13 with pancakes, crepes, sausage and gravy on the menu. Price is $10 per person and $20 per family.
The Modern Episcopalians group will resume its weekly meetings over Zoom at 7 p.m. Feb. 8. Participants will use the book “The Greatest Prayer” by John Dominic Crossan to probe the biblical background of the “Our Father.” Contact the office for links.
The Justice Ministry is distributing mite boxes and calendars to parishioners in February to raise awareness of homelessness. Each day will contain an item or activity and call for a modest contribution — for instance, “Drop in 50 cents for every meal you’ve had today.” Contributions will be sent to Outreached Arms, a Pittsburgh nonprofit.
St. Brendan’s Vestry will hold its annual retreat on Feb. 10 beginning at 9 a.m. at the church. Rev. Robin Jarrell, priest-in-charge, and the nine-member vestry, elected by the congregation, will meet to set priorities for 2024.
Matt Mehalik, head of the Breathe Project, will speak at 11:30 a.m. March 3 on “Southwestern Pennsylvania’s Future: A Story of Air Quality and Sustainability.”
Conversation classes for English as a Second Language adults are continuing. Two levels are being offered via Zoom on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and on Wednesday evenings. New students are invited to participate and new volunteers are always welcome, no experience is necessary.

A pancake breakfast will be held every Saturday morning in February from 8 a.m. to noon. Menu includes pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon, grits and beverages. It is a free-will offering.
St. Paul’s Lutheran Church

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner is 4:30-6:30 p.m. Feb. 13. Dinner is $7 and includes pancakes, sausage, a doughnut, and beverage. You may take your dinner to go or stay and eat in our refurbished ground-level Fellowship Hall.
On Wednesdays in Lent (beginning Feb. 21) we will hold soup dinners featuring a variety of homemade soups to take out or eat in. Hours are 4:30-6:30 p.m. Cost is $6.
Sunday worship is at 10 a.m.; Sunday school at 9 a.m. Weekly Bible study is at 10 a.m. Tuesdays at the Edgeworth Eat’n Park.
