Grace Heliger was among more than 660 first-year students welcomed to the Baldwin Wallace University campus this fall who earned more than $12.6 million in merit scholarships. Heliger earned a $21,000 President’s Scholarship based on outstanding academic achievements in high school. She is also playing basketball at Baldwin Wallace.

Evan Monski was among more than 750 students who earned named scholarships at Baldwin Wallace University this fall. Monski, a graduate of Quaker Valley Sr. High School majoring in acting, earned the Walter and Ginnie Knight Scholarship.

Sewickley Academy student Sebastian Tan was accepted into the 2024 Rise Global Winner cohort. For his Rise project, he created OutsideConnection as a program and platform that provides jobs to individuals who have been previously incarcerated. Since its inception, OutsideConnection has helped more than 100 reentry organizations across the country develop their own job-placement plans and provided job access to more than 10,000 re-entrants through their partnerships with the largest employers in the world, like Amazon, McDonald’s, Chipotle and more.
