Sewickley area student achivements for the week of June 24, 2025
Andrew Warburton, M.D., a third-year resident in anesthesiology at Mount Sinai Hospital, graduated from Quaker Valley High School in 2015 and was offered a one-year fellowship for 2026 in Critical Care Anesthesiology by Massachusetts General Hospital, the original and largest teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School. These fellowships are highly competitive. For the 2026 program, there are only eight openings with more than 180 applicants.
After graduating from QVHS, Andrew earned a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh in three years, and subsequently his medical degree from The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. He is currently in his third year of four four-year residency in the Anesthesia Department at Mount Sinai Hospital. Andrew is also engaged to be married in October this year to Margarita Labkovich, M.D. who is a second-year resident in ophthalmology with the Northwell Health Eye Institute in New York.
Christopher Davis graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and finance from Westminster College on May 10.
The following students made the dean’s list at Slippery Rock University for the spring 2025 semester: Dante Accamando, Elizabeth Anderson, Evan Barnhart, Liam Dugan, Anna Hrabovsky, Lauren Kamzelski, Mckenzie McNamee, Ryan Mounteer, Garrett Rader, Koll Severson, Sydney Shurmatz, Vasundhara Devi Singari, Joshua Vazquez and Renee Wolford.
Robert Hohman (marketing and management), Brooke Johncour (nursing), Mason Nichols (entrepreneurship) and Jackson Southern (computer science) graduated from Grove City College on May 10.
Gabrielle Schultz, who is majoring in intelligence analysis, has been named to the dean’s list at James Madison University for the spring 2025 semester.
Christopher Davis, an administration and finance major, was named to Westminster College’s dean’s list for the spring 2025 semester.
Megan Hilberg, Nora Johns and Camille Womeldorf made the dean’s list at Ohio Wesleyan University for the spring 2025 semester.
The following students made the dean’s list at Grove City College for the spring 2025 semester: Mara Brak, Lauren DeLeonardis, Brooke Johncour, Zachary Moore, Mason Nichols, Jackson Southern and Raymond Stierer.
Nolan Stamford, a cell biology/biochemistry major, made the dean’s list at Bucknell University for the spring 2025 semester.
Ella Franks and Lily Johns made the president’s list at Ohio University for the spring 2025 semester. Declan Haas, Emma Hudnall and Monica Paschke made the dean’s list.
Sean Donohue, Liam Ellis, Grace Evans, Taylor Martin and Emma Smith made the dean’s list at the College of William & Mary for the spring 2025 semester.
Mary-Catherine Seskey received a Bachelor of Science in commerce and business administration from the University of Alabama.
Genevieve Moffett earned a spot on Shenandoah University’s president’s list for the spring 2025 semester.
