National Merit Scholarship semifinalists

Three students from Sewickley Academy have been named semifinalists in the 2021 National Merit Scholarship Program: Aidan Ragoowansi, Navin Rana and Aeyoung Song.

The high school seniors have an opportunity to continue in the competition for approximately 7,600 National Merit Scholarships, worth approximately $30 million, that will be awarded in the spring. Students who advance to the finalist level will be notified in February.

Approximately 1.5 million juniors in more than 21,000 high schools entered the 2021 NMSP by taking the 2019 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, which served as the initial screening of the program entrants.

Isabelle Engel of Sewickley has qualified for the Spring 2020 Dean’s List at Seton Hall University.

After the close of every semester, undergraduate students completing all courses with a GPA of 3.4, with no grades lower than C, qualify for the Dean’s List.
