Sewickley Public Library's new Storytime Room opens
More than 175 people gathered at Sewickley Public Library on May 31 for the dedication of the library’s new Storytime Room.
Library administrators, along with project benefactors the Child Health Association of Sewickley and Friends of Sewickley Public Library, were on hand for the ribbon cutting and celebration.
The renovation work began in December.
“The renovation enhances the functionality of the room, enabling us to accommodate more participants and utilize the space for a multitude of programs like storytimes, movie screenings, group workshops and instructional classes,” said library head of communications Richelle Klug. “We added flexible furniture, movable storage and an interactive digital screen, which creates a dynamic environment for storytelling interactive learning, and playful exploration.”
The celebration also featured crafts for children, cake, snacks, a balloon artist and free-time play in the new space.
