Mary Roberts Reinhart Nature Park is a one of the stops on the Sewickley Public Library’s Spring Storywalks.

The Spring Sewickley StoryWalk returns to area parks this April. Bring the family to visit the five Sewickley StoryWalk locations this season. Experience self-guided walking tours that pair books with nature by placing storybooks along a walking path for all to enjoy.

The upcoming Sewickley StoryWalk session features picture book stories that celebrate the Spring season and Earth Day. Visitors to Mary Roberts Rinehart Nature Park can read “Guinea Pigs Go Gardening” by Kate Sheehy, while Ohio Township Nature Center visitors can enjoy the book “Birds” by Kevin Henkes. Allegheny Land Trust – Audubon Greenway’s location features “A Good Place” by Lucy Cousins. At Fern Hollow Nature Center, enjoy the story “My Friend Earth” by Patricia MacLachlan. And visitors to the Henle Park StoryWalk location can read “The Hidden Rainbow” by Christie Matheson during their stroll.

Visitors are encouraged to pick up a Sewickley StoryWalk passport during their visit. Visit at least three Sewickley StoryWalk locations in 2023, fill out your passport at each stop, and bring it back to the Sewickley Public Library Children’s Department to be entered to win one of the StoryWalk books at the end of the season.

Sewickley Public Library partners with Allegheny Land Trust, Fern Hollow Nature Center, Mary Roberts Rinehart Nature Park, Ohio Township Nature Center, and the Borough of Leetsdale to bring the StoryWalk program to the community.

The Spring Sewickley StoryWalk runs from April 21-May 14.
