Antioch Baptist Church

Antioch Baptist Church will be hosting a 3 vs. 3 basketball tournament on May 20, at 12:30 p.m. at Brooks Elementary School, 1720 Hassam Road, Coraopolis. All are welcome. The tournament is for ages 8–11, 12–14, 15–17, and 18 and up. Registration and waiver forms can be found at antiochfwbaptistsewickley.org. The team registration fee is $5, the cost per player is $10 and the spectator fee is $3. The deadline to register is May 17. A check or money order can be made payable to Antioch Baptist Church. Beth Samuel Jewish Center
Beth Samuel Jewish Center meets every Saturday at 10 a.m. in person and on Zoom for Morning Shabbat Services. First Friday Family Services take place at 5:45 p.m. on the first Friday of the month during the school year, accompanied by a congregational potluck. Kabbalat Shabbat services are held the third Friday of every month during the school year on Zoom.

Divine Redeemer Parish
The Divine Redeemer 55 Plus Club meets the third Thursday of every month, September through May 2023. The club starts with the Rosary at 10 a.m., followed by lunch and entertainment, ending at 1 p.m. Cost of lunch will be $12 for members and $13 per guest. Lunch reservations for April 20 are due by April 13. The 55 Plus Club motor coach tour to Lancaster will be May 19-20. Attendees will see “Moses Live on Stage” at the Sight and Sound Theater and “Titanic the Musical” at the Fulton Theater. Price is $399 plus $19 taxes and tips per person. Reservations are due by April 23.

Grace Anglican Church
Sunday Worship is at 10:15 a.m. each week. A traditional service of Holy Communion followed by a time of food and fellowship in the Parish Hall.
Morning prayer is 7 a.m. Monday through Friday. A short service of scripture and prayer to begin the day.

North Way Sewickley Valley
North Way Sewickley Valley is a family-friendly Christian community offering services at 9:15 and 11 a.m. each Sunday. Kids Church is available at both services for children from birth to fifth grade. Autism Ministry support is also available for children from preschool to eighth grade with pre-registration.

Sewickley United Methodist Church
The Sewickley United Methodist Church has two services each Sunday: 9 a.m. contemporary, featuring our praise band Leap of Faith, and 11 a.m. traditional, with nursery care and children’s ministries during both services. The church is a reconciling congregation and openly welcomes all people.

St. Brendan’s Episcopal Church
St. Brendan’s is a progressive, open and socially active church that holds in-person worship with Eucharist at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Sundays; the second service is also live-streamed on YouTube. Sunday School and nursery coverage are available for children at the 10 a.m. service. A Children’s Service is held on the fourth Sunday of every month at 10 a.m. in which young members participate in various aspects of the liturgy.
The church is accepting applications until April 15 for the paid, part-time position of Children and Youth Ministry Coordinator. Detailed information can be found online at stbrendans.org/employment.
The Fiber Crafting Club will hold its inaugural meeting on April 19 for those who like to knit, crochet, embroider or do other hand-held fiber arts. The group will meet at 6 p.m. for fellowship, fun, and handcrafting.
St. Brendan’s next public forum, Human Trafficking in Western Pennsylvania, will appear on Zoom on April 20 at 7:30 p.m. The panel will include experts from Living in Liberty and the Beaver County Anti-Human Traffic Coalition. Please contact the office for a link.
The Justice Ministry will prepare backpack lunches on April 22 at 8:30 a.m. for children served by the Neighborhood Resilience Project based in the Hill District.
A potluck luncheon for women will be held on April 22 at noon.
Bishop Ketlen Solak of the Pittsburgh Diocese will visit on April 23 and lead worship at both services. During the 10 a.m. service she will baptize, confirm and receive members who have recently gone through catechism into the Episcopal Church.

St. Matthews AME Zion Church

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church
Sunday worship is at 10 a.m.; Sunday school at 9 a.m. Weekly Bible study is at 10 a.m. Tuesdays at the Edgeworth Eat’n Park.
The Kids’ Community Closet at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church is now open. The “free-cycle” space serves children ages infant to youth by providing gently used clothing, coats/jackets, and shoes to the community at no cost. Hours are 9 a.m. to noon on Monday, Tuesday and Saturday, and 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. There are no applications, income guidelines, or donations required to “shop” at the Kids’ Closet. The church takes donations of gently used clothing and shoes. At this time, toys, baby gear, bedding/blankets and athletic equipment cannot be accepted.
