Antioch Baptist Church

Beth Samuel Jewish Center

Beth Samuel Jewish Center meets every Saturday at 10 a.m. in person and on Zoom for Morning Shabbat Services. First Friday Family Services take place at 5:45 p.m. on the first Friday of the month during the school year, accompanied by a congregational potluck. Kabbalat Shabbat services are held the third Friday of every month during the school year on Zoom.

Israeli veterans who were disabled during their service in the Israel Defense Forces will be visiting Beth Samuel Jewish Center on May 19 as part of a program hosted by congregation members Sandy and Barbara Zell. Every year, the Zells spend an extended stay in Israel visiting with veterans who have the unique mission of protecting the Jewish homeland. For the many in the Jewish diaspora, supporting these veterans is a worthy and necessary part of their lives. A Zoom link will be available for those who want to participate online; the event is private to the Jewish community on-site.

Christ Church at Grove Farm

Sunday Services are 9 a.m. (traditional) and 11:15 a.m. (modern).

Camp45 will take place May 12-14 for fourth and fifth grad students at Teen Quest Ranch in the Laurel Highland mountains. Vacation Bible School will take place June 19-23 for students entering kindergarten through completion of fifth grade. Amped Camp is July 12-16 for middle school students. It is located at Ace Adventure Resort in West Virginia.

Divine Redeemer Parish

The Divine Redeemer 55 Plus Club meets the third Thursday of every month, September through May 2023. The club starts with the Rosary at 10 a.m., followed by lunch and entertainment, ending at 1 p.m. Cost of lunch will be $12 for members and $13 per guest. Grace Anglican Church

Sunday Worship is at 10:15 a.m. each week. A traditional service of Holy Communion followed by a time of food and fellowship in the Parish Hall.

Morning prayer is 7 a.m. Monday through Friday. A short service of scripture and prayer to begin the day.

North Way Sewickley Valley

North Way Sewickley Valley is a family-friendly Christian community offering services at 9:15 and 11 a.m. each Sunday. Kids Church is available at both services for children from birth to fifth grade. Autism Ministry support is also available for children from preschool to eighth grade with pre-­registration.

Sewickley United Methodist Church

The Sewickley United Methodist Church has two services each Sunday: 9 a.m. contemporary, featuring our praise band Leap of Faith, and 11 a.m. traditional, with nursery care and children’s ministries during both services. The church is a reconciling congregation and openly welcomes all people.

St. Brendan’s Episcopal Church

St. Brendan’s is an open, welcoming and socially active church which holds in-person worship with Eucharist at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Sundays; the second service is also live-streamed on YouTube. Sunday School and nursery coverage are available for children at the 10 a.m. service. A Children’s Service is held on the fourth Sunday of every month at 10 a.m. in which young members participate in various aspects of the liturgy.

St. Brendan’s will host a Drumming Circle on May 5 at 6:30 p.m. The hour of rhythm, movement, spirituality and fun will be led by Matt Price of the Drum Circle Facilitators Guild. Anyone age 13 and up may participate; no drumming experience is necessary. Drums will be provided. Admission is $15.

Volunteers will once again cultivate St. Brendan’s Garden of Hope this year to grow fresh vegetables for the North Hills Food Bank. Parishioners are asked to water, weed, harvest and deliver the produce to the food bank throughout the growing season. The garden will be planted and blessed on May 7 after the 10 a.m. service.

The new Fiber Crafting Club meets 6-8 p.m. on the first Friday and third Wednesday of every month for anyone who likes to knit, crochet, embroider or do other handheld fiber arts.

Morning Prayer is offered at 8 a.m., Monday-Friday, via Zoom. Bible Study is held at 11 a.m. on Tuesdays via Zoom. Please contact the office for links.

St. Matthews AME Zion Church

Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. and Sunday service is at 10:30 a.m., led by Pastor William B. Rankin.

The church will provide free hotdogs during Sewickley’s Memorial Day Parade May 29.

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church

Sunday worship is at 10 a.m.; Sunday school at 9 a.m. Weekly Bible study is at 10 a.m. Tuesdays at the Edgeworth Eat’n Park.

St. Stephen’s Anglican Church

On Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30 p.m., the church offers various Midweek Community options that focus on the essentials of life in Christ and pertinent interests we face in our daily lives. Located on the corner of Frederick and Walnut streets in Sewickley. , the Christy House is a Friday tradition at St. Stephen’s since 1976. Guests are invited to enjoy lunch from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. The Christy House has two unique stores, the Needles Eye (new) and Earthly Treasures (gently used), where special gift items and collectibles can be purchased.
