Shooting leaves 2 dead, 1 injured in Pittsburgh’s Hill District
Two people are dead after a shooting Monday night in Pittsburgh’s Hill District, according to city police.
A third person was left critically injured.
Those killed were identified as Dean Marbury, 43, and Jawan Montae Palmer, 37.
Pittsburgh Public Safety said officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert for 11 gunshots fired in the 2200 block of Webster Avenue in the Middle Hill.
Once at the scene around 11 p.m., officers said they found Marbury shot in the head and neck areas. He died before arriving at the hospital, police said.
Two more men showed up to the hospital by private vehicle. Palmer later died from his injuries at the hospital, while the third victim remains in critical condition.
