Guns, drugs and cash confiscated during investigation of gunshots fired in Clairton on Thursday.

A cache of drugs — marijuana, heroin, Oxycontin — guns and $10,000 were taken off the streets of Clairton on Thursday afternoon when police arrested four men and a juvenile after gunshots were fired during a fight in that Mon Valley town.

Four men were charged with firearms and narcotics offenses in federal court in Pittsburgh, and a juvenile faces narcotics and firearms charges as a result of the investigation, Allegheny County Police said.

The probe began when Clairton police responded to gunshots being fired, but no one being hit, during a fight at 1 p.m. in the 400 block of Park Avenue. However, a 25-year-old man was hurt when he fell during the fight at about 1 p.m. Clairton police detained two juvenile boys who were running from the scene of the gunshots.

One of the detained juveniles, a 14-year-old Clairton boy, allegedly was involved in the shooting and tossed away heroin as he ran. A criminal referral on charges of aggravated assault, narcotics, and firearms offenses were made against the juvenile, county police said.

County detectives saw a wanted felony suspect, Jameil Greene, 24, of Clairton, sitting in a car. Police say Greene fled when detectives approached, but was quickly caught. They say he was carrying a stolen gun.

Three other men, Tyrieke Hammonds, 24, and Deonte Reddick, 20, both of Clairton, and Hazeon Kidd, 20, of East Liberty, were seen with guns. That led to detectives discovering quantities of marijuana, Oxycontin, fentanyl, and heroin.

Collectively, the men were also found in possession of about $10,000 in cash.

Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call the Allegheny County Police Tipline at 1-833-ALL-TIPS (1-833-255-8477); callers can remain anonymous. The department can also be reached via its social media sites.
