One of two New Year’s Millionaire Raffle tickets worth $50,000 each was sold in Mt. Lebanon, the Pennsylvania Lottery announced.
The prizes are part of the sixth weekly drawing in the raffle, which features eight weekly drawings that each award two prizes of $50,000 leading up to the major Jan. 7 drawing.
The winning ticket numbers — 00270217 and 00292827 — were randomly drawn from more than 66,900 ticket numbers sold between Dec. 13 and 19, the lottery said.
Both tickets were sold at Giant Eagle locations — 1717 Cochran Road in Mt. Lebanon, and 2067 Interchange Road in Millcreek Township, south of Erie.
Those holding New Year’s Millionaire Raffle tickets can learn if they won a prize by scanning it using the ticket checker on the lottery’s app or at a retailer.
Winners should make an appointment to visit a Pennsylvania Lottery office to claim a $50,000 weekly drawing prize in person. It cannot be claimed at a retailer or by mail.
Those holding Millionaire Raffle drawing tickets are advised to keep them for the Jan. 7 drawing, as it is possible for a ticket to win in both drawings, the lottery said.
Only 500,000 tickets are available for the New Year’s Millionaire Raffle drawing on Jan. 7. It features 6,000 cash prizes totaling more than $5 million. Tickets cost $20 and will be available until 8 p.m. on the drawing date or until sold out.
The drawing will award four $1 million prizes, four $100,000 prizes, 100 $1,000 prizes, and about 5,900 prizes of $100.
