Allegheny Health Network’s Jefferson Hospital trained members of South Park Theatre staff on how to use an AED and CPR certification.

Allegheny Health Network’s Jefferson Hospital, alongside AHN prehospital services, recently donated an AED device to the South Park Theatre, benefitting employees, community members and theatergoers. The Feb. 17 presentation was followed by an in-depth training session. “I am very pleased and proud to have a staff that now has this knowledge and access to this resource, and I’m extremely grateful to Allegheny Health Network, Jefferson Hospital and all of the people that helped make this possible for us,” said Lorraine Mszanski, executive director of the South Park Theatre. “There are hundreds of adults and families that come through our theater each week in the spring, summer and fall, so gaining access to a resource like this AED is critically important. We were thrilled to learn that we would not only be receiving the defibrillator that could serve our patrons and be accessible to all of South Park, but also that our staff would be receiving training and CPR certification.”
