Baldwin, Thomas Jefferson, Brentwood high schools holding in-person commencement
South Hills high schools are gearing up for in-person commencement ceremonies.
Baldwin High School’s class of 2021 commencement ceremony will take place at 7 p.m. on June 8 at Baldwin High School Stadium. Approximately 350 students will receive their diplomas. While each student will receive six tickets — a capacity that the school district says is safe with social distancing — a live stream of the ceremony will be available as well.
The 220 members of Thomas Jefferson High School’s senior class will also march at 7 p.m. on June 8.
The outdoor ceremony will take place at Thomas Jefferson Stadium. In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held inside the high school gymnasium. It will be completely open to the public, according to West Jefferson Hills School District.
Tickets will be issued in case the ceremony needs to be moved indoors, but will not be required for the outdoor ceremony. Additionally, the district said that those who are vaccinated do not have to wear masks while in attendance at the stadium.
Brentwood High School’s 93 members of the class of 2021 will graduate at 7:30 p.m. June 11 at the Brentwood Stadium.
In case of rain, it will move to 11 a.m. June 12.
