A Brentwood High School security guard was arrested Friday for allegedly sharing inappropriate images and communications with a student.

Daniel Stiefvater, 23, of Brentwood is charged with institutional sexual assault and other felonies.

Allegheny County Police said Stiefvater sent the student images and communicated with the student via phone, social media and in person.

The activities occurred both on and off school property, police allege.

Stiefvater was taken to the Allegheny County Jail in Pittsburgh to await arraignment.

Anyone with information concerning the investigation should contact the county police tipline at 833-ALL-TIPS.

Stiefvater is listed as a security officer on the district’s website, bb-sd.com.
