Proceeds will benefit Mainstay Life Services, whose mission is to provide life-long, high-quality support services, ensuring that people with developmental disabilities lead fulfilling lives. Summer senior trips

Elizabeth Township Seniors will travel the historic Lincoln Highway to the Omni Bedford Resort in June and then head for a getaway to the Rocky Mountain Casino in August.

The first will step into the rare example of an American spa resort from the 19th and early 20th centuries on June 15. The main facility of The Omni Bedford Springs is the Greek Revival-style Colonial Building, which the Anderson family built between 1829 and 1842.

An elegant lunch will be included at what has been referred to as the “summer White House” since U.S. President James Buchanan’s term and several other presidents have visited. There will be time to shop in the quaint shops in Bedford’s downtown area and other sites.

The $155 cost includes transportation and lunch at the Omni Bedford Resort. All reservations must be made by May 10.

Cost is $45 for the bus trip to Rocky Gap Casino in Maryland on Aug. 24. Reservations are due by July 12.

Nonmembers, as well as members, may make payment checks to Vaughn Gilbert Senior Trips and mailed to Vaughn Gilbert, 1109 Sommerset St, McKeesport, Pa. 15135.

Name, address, phone and email are required. For more information, call 412-807-8452.

The seniors group is a non-profit organization.
