Saint Elizabeth Synod

Fish fries

Saint Thomas a Becket Church on Gill Hall Road in Jefferson Hills will hold a Lenten Fish Fry every Friday from March 4-April 17 from 4-7 p.m. Holy Spirit Church on Old Elizabeth Road in West Mifflin will hold its fish fry every Friday from March 4-April 17 from 3-7 p.m.

Spring art show

The Galleria Mt. Lebanon will host a Spring Art Show in the common area of the mall. The show runs March 4-13. Show hours are Fridays through Saturdays, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. and Sundays, noon-5 p.m. Several groups are participating, including South Arts Pittsburgh, Whitehall, McMurray and Bethel Park Art leagues and Photo Section 1 and 2. There will be a variety of original framed artwork and photography by local artists, as well as greeting cards and matted prints. Class reunion

Bethel Park Class of 1971 is holding its 50-year reunion (a year late) on Sept. 24, 2022. Events are being planned for the whole weekend. Please contact Pam Dobos at dob914@aol.com or 412-833-3868 if you are interested in attending.

Senior trips

A trip to Sight and Sound in Lancaster highlights the Elizabeth Township Seniors 2022 calendar. These trips are open to nonmembers of the group, which meets the second Tuesday of the month at White Oak American Legion.

Day trips also are planned for Bedford Springs Inn and the Gateway Clipper Light Up Night.

Plans for trips to the Seneca Niagara and Rocky Gap casinos round out the lineup.

The new show about the Biblical hero “David” at Sight and Sound tops the visit to Lancaster and the Pennsylvania Dutch Country on May 11-13. The trip includes visits to the Kitchen Kettle Village, Landis Valley Museum & Village and The Amish experience at the F/X Theatre.
