Whitehall history program
Join Whitehall Mayor James Nowalk in the Whitehall Borough Community Room from 7-9 p.m. Jan. 5 to learn about how the borough was formed. South Hills Women’s Club

Library seeks crafters
Jefferson Hills Public Library officials are looking for some crafty patrons who would like to share their skills at an afternoon or evening program at the library, 925 Old Clairton Road. CPR certification
A CPR/AED certification class is scheduled for 6-8 p.m. Jan. 10 at Jefferson Hills Public Library. The class is offered by Southeast Regional EMS. Admission is free. A $5 fee is requested for a certification card that will be mailed to those who successfully complete the class.

Board member sought
Baldwin officials are seeking applicants to fill a position on the vacancy board. It is a volunteer position. The duty of this board is to appoint a person to fill an elected position should one become vacant due to death or resignation of said position. Interest forms are available on the borough website, baldwinborough.org.
Rotary scholarships
The Bob Williams Rotary Memorial Scholarship Program has scholarships available for the 2022-2023 academic year. In recent years, at least eight scholarships at $5,000 each have been awarded. High school seniors in Allegheny and Beaver Counties are eligible to apply. Vocational students, G.E.D students and those attending parochial, charter and private schools are also eligible.
Students must have a 2.5 or higher grade point average and also must complete an essay, which highlights their community/school service, as part of the application submission.
