Five candidates competed for four open spots on the Baldwin-Whitehall School Board in the Nov. 4 general election.

With 38/38 precincts reporting, 29,301 total votes were cast, according to Allegheny County’s unofficial election results. Cross-filed candidates newcomer Ashley Miller (6,538 votes), current board second vice president Amanda Priano (6,036) and current board president Karen L. Brown (6,016) won their bids, and will be joined by Democrat Tara Abt (6,501).

Republican Greg Zeman, who is currently first vice president of the board, was unsuccessful in his campaign, with 4,115 votes. Ninety-three write-in votes were also cast in the election.
