Pleasant Hills Garden Club’s “Art in Bloom” event took place at Mowry Park in Pleasant Hills on June 14. Leading up to the event, club members were tasked with creating an art piece and a floral arrangement to depict the artwork. According to club member Linda Schaffer, 15 members participated, most partnering with another club member to produce a finished piece.
“The works done by the members were really spectacular, and the stories that went with each entry were very interesting as well,” Schaffer said.
