Pittsburgh police search for missing girl, 13, last seen by her family July 30

A 13-year-old girl from Pittsburgh has been reported missing, city police said.

Detectives with the special victims unit are searching for Ashlynn Southerland. She is 5 feet, 1 inch tall and weighs about 115 pounds. She has black hair and blue eyes, with a scar under her right eye.

She was last seen by her family July 30. Her last known potential location was at a movie theater Tuesday in Bridgeville.

Police said that the girl is known to spend time in Brookline, Beechview, and Dormont. She may also be in Mt. Lebanon.

Her phone is turned off and she may be in the company of men.
