A man wearing a brown wig and claiming to have a bomb allegedly robbed the Dollar Bank in Dormont over the weekend, Allegheny County police said Monday.

The robbery happened about 6:40 p.m. Saturday at the bank on West Liberty Avenue. Police said the man – who wore dark clothing and a brown floppy hat – passed a note to the teller demanding cash and alleging he had a bomb.

The teller handed over cash, and the man took off west on Texas Avenue, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the county police via their social media accounts or the tip line at 1-833-255-8477. Callers can remain anonymous.
