Academic achievements

The following students from the area were recognized for their academic achievement during the spring 2021 semester by being named to the dean’s, president’s or provost’s list at the college or university they attend:

• Bucknell University: Shannon McCollum

• Ithaca College: Sydney Keller

• Westminster College: Caden Harsh, Jayneil Latham, Joseph Ranft, Savanna Wright, John Lima, Hannah Roddy, Emilee Spozarski, Marissa Stenglein and Amanda Vickless

• Youngstown State University: Jared Koenig, Cassandra Carlson and Stephen Plank

Graduates

The following area students recently graduated from college, university, trade school or military training:

• Youngstown State University: Stephen Plank

Accepted to Pitt-Greensburg

McKenzie Lytle, a 2021 graduate of Baldwin High School, has been accepted as a member of the 2021 freshman class at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg, where she will begin studies in secondary education and history.

The daughter of John A. Lytle, Lytle was active in the Junior Classical League and the Math League at Baldwin High School. A member of the National Honor Society and a Distinguished Graduate, she was the recipient of the AP Scholar Award. She also participated in the Mini-Thon and swim team.
