A 16-year-old boy was reported hospitalized in stable condition after being shot in Brentwood late Saturday night, Allegheny County Police said.

The victim was shot in the lower leg near the intersection of Meadowbrook Boulevard and Brownsville Road at about 10:30 p.m, police said.

County police detectives are investigating the shooting. Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call the County Police Tip Line 1-833-ALL-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous.
