Virtual networking, Eric M. Holzworth memorial golf outing and more across the South Hills
Pink Pamper fundraiser goes virtual
The Pink Pamper’s Virtual Bubble Ball bidding began Saturday, and the event itself will commence with a live virtual event 8 p.m. Aug. 27. DJ Loyal of Loyalty Entertainment will provide music, trivia games and auction winner announcements. Florence Flenner, president of Faces, Family and Friends, will receive the Woman of Courage Award 2020. The event includes a 50/50 raffle, auction prizes, a Pink Pamper Hero donation wall and more. The Pink Pamper HaLo Fund supports women going through chemotherapy with its wig voucher program. Vouchers are provided by the nurse navigator teams on behalf of Pink Pamper at AHN Bethel Park Campus, UPMC Hillman Cancer Center Shadyside Campus and UPMC Magee Women’s Hospital.
“A cancer battle is both physically and emotionally exhausting,” said Marian Geisler, president of the organization. “These kinds of choices and challenges can drain a woman of the energy they really must have in order to triumph over cancer itself.”
