One can no longer live in Mister Rogers’ neighborhood, but you can own his old home.
The house in Squirrel Hill that Fred Rogers and his wife, Joanne, owned until the early 1960s has hit the market for $850,000.
The five-bedroom, four-bath home at 5381 Northumberland St. was listed last Thursday on Zillow.
“Subtle sophistication meets modern lifestyles,” the listing on Coldwell Banker said. “Over 3,600 square feet of charming and functional house in the desirable, walkable Squirrel Hill neighborhood.”

Rogers gained worldwide recognition thanks to “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood,” which aired from 1968-2001.
Rogers passed away in 2003 at age 74. His widow died in January.
Allison Shin, who is selling the house, told Coldwell Banker she had heard the Rogers had once owned the house, but never had much proof, Next Pittsburgh reported.
According to the Allegheny Real Estate Portal, Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Randy Fichtner owned the 3,693-square-foot home prior to Shin.
