Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a cake and cookie decorating class on March 16, at the Marshall Township Municipal Building on Pleasant Hill Road.

Michelle Maseth of One Sweet Cookie Bakery in Baden, Beaver County, will host two events that day. Participants will decorate a leprechaun and pot-of-gold cookie, as well as be shown how to frost a cake, pipe a shamrock and make buttercream cookies, according to the event description. There will be plenty of rainbow glitter and candy to top off the look.

The first event is a parent-and-child decorating class held from 1-2:30 p.m. This class is best suited for children in pre-kindergarten and kindergarten levels, according to township manager Julie Bastianini.

Another class geared for those 8 and older from 6-7:30 p.m.

Cost for each class is $45.

Participants will be decorating a single-layer confetti cake. Gluten-free versions are available by calling One Sweet Cookie after registering at 412-953-0869 or 412-298-7482.

Marshall Township provides programs like these throughout the year.

“The township aims to provide a variety of quality programming for our residents to enjoy,” Bastianini said.

Register through www.twp.marshall.pa.us or call 724-935-3090, Ext. 214.
