A section of South Bouquet Street and several surrounding streets in the city’s Oakland section were closed off to vehicle traffic on Nov. 19, 2020 following an early-morning water main break.

Several streets in the Pittsburgh’s Oakland neighborhood are shut down this morning because of a water main break.

The break was reported about 4 a.m. along South Bouquet Street, according to the Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority.

The road is shut down between Sennott and Joncaire streets so crews can repair the ruptured line, the authority said.

University of Pittsburgh police assisting with traffic control reported that Roberto Clemente Drive also is closed at the Posvar loading dock, but there is still access to the “A” parking lot.

Water service has been shut off for customers in 13 buildings along South Bouquet but is expected to be restored by 4 p.m., said PWSA spokeswoman Mora McLaughlin.
