Student in McCandless earns Carson Scholars Fund Award
Providence Heights Alpha School eighth-grade student Aine Corrigan has earned the Carson Scholars Fund Award.
Aine is being honored because she demonstrates the highest standards of academic achievement, integrity, and civic and social responsibility.
In addition to a $1,000 college scholarship, Aine will receive a medal and certificate at the 20th annual Carson Scholars Fund’s Pittsburgh Awards Banquet on April 7 at Acrisure Stadium.
Carson Scholars Fund is a nonprofit organization founded in 1994 by Dr. Ben Carson, pediatric neurosurgeon and former U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, and his wife, Cindy.
Providence Heights Alpha School was founded and is sponsored by the Sisters of Divine Providence, and is located on the Sisters’ 40-acre campus in McCandless.
