The suspect in a shooting in Pittsburgh’s Homewood North neighborhood Sunday morning was caught after a crash and short foot chase, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety.

Officers were alerted to 10 rounds being fired around 10 a.m. in the 7000 block of Upland Street.

Witnesses told officers that two men were arguing outside. The suspect fired multiple rounds, hitting the other man once in the arm before fleeing in a vehicle, police said.

The suspect collided with a vehicle at North Braddock and Hamilton avenues, causing minor damage, police said. He fled on foot but was quickly apprehended, and a firearm was found in the vehicle.

Police did not identify the suspect but said charges would be filed.

The man who was shot was taken to a hospital in critical condition, police said.
