Teen critically injured in McKeesport shooting

A teenage boy was critically injured in a shooting Monday afternoon in McKeesport, according to Allegheny County Police.

Police said officers responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Dinsmore and Meadow streets just before 2:30 p.m.

First responders found a teenage boy, who was not identified, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, police said. The victim was taken to an area hospital in critical condition. The extent of his injuries was unknown Monday afternoon.

Allegheny County Police are investigating.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the county police tip line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous.
