Two people were hit by a car on Route 837 near Hoffman Boulevard in Duquesne around 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2021.

The death of a teen killed in a crash in Duquesne last month has been ruled accidental, according to an Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office report released Tuesday.

Deveon Franklin, 18, of Duquesne, died at a hospital at 7:40 a.m. Nov. 17, after being hit by a pickup around 6 a.m. in the 100 block of Kennywood Boulevard.

Allegheny County Police reported last month that Franklin and another man were struck by a pickup when they were walking on the boulevard near Hoffman Boulevard.

The pickup driver stayed at the scene. The other man was taken to a hospital for treatment.
