Pittsburgh police are investigating after a male was shot early Monday in the city’s Brighton Heights neighborhood, public safety officials said.

The incident occurred just after midnight in the 1500 block of Davis Avenue.

Police said the victim was shot in the knee but was able to run to a nearby house in the 3600 block of Massachusetts Avenue to seek help.

The victim, whose age was not immediately available, was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
