The abridged version of this year’s Three Rivers Arts Festival will take place in the Strip District, officials announced Monday.

The festival will be take place at the riverfront lots at the 15th Street Plaza along Waterfront Place, said Derek Scalzott, a spokesman for the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust.

Festival dates this year are June 5 to 8. The arts festival is typically 10 days.

The Cultural Trust landed on the Strip District location due to renovation projects at other downtown locations, Scalzott said.

“Thanks to The Buncher Company, who owns the property, and lot operator, Alco (Parking), the Festival will remain near its namesake three rivers, not far from its future long-term home in the Cultural District,” said Brooke Horejsi, chief programming and engagement officer of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust.

“We thank all the artists, partners and visitors whose support will allow this iconic celebration of the arts to continue in 2025.”

The festival features hundreds of regional and national artisans, food and drink vendors, and live entertainment. Last year’s festival took place on Fort Duquesne Boulevard, Rachel Carson Bridge and surrounding streets.

Admission is free.

A map of this year’s festival grounds, music lineup and attractions will be released later this spring, Scalzott said.

Next year, the festival could be held at the new Eighth Street block civic space. That plan was released last year and is part of a Downtown revitalization project in anticipation of the 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh.

Amenities there could include a bandshell, an outdoor play area for families, public restrooms, temporary sports courts, pop-up markets, and food and beverage offerings.
