A portion of the Parkway West (Interstate 376) was shut down Tuesday morning following a multi-vehicle crash.

PennDOT spokeswoman Yasmeen Manyisha said the incident, which happened about 6:30 a.m., closed both eastbound (inbound) lanes to traffic just before the Carnegie (Exit 65) exit. However, traffic cameras showed crews cleared the far left inbound lane by about 7 a.m. The lanes were fully reopened by about 8 a.m.

The Carnegie exit was also closed for a time while emergency vehicles attended to the crash.

Traffic cameras showed traffic slowly moving through the far left lane, with backups extending about 2½ miles from the Carnegie exit at one point.

Allegheny County Dispatchers said one person was taken to a hospital.
