Turnpike to close at Cranberry, Butler Valley exits for 2 hours early Sunday

Officials announced the Turnpike will be closed in both directions Sunday from midnight to 2 a.m. for roadwork between the Cranberry and Butler Valley exits.

They are Exits 78 and 39.

Detour eastbound is as follows:

• Take I-79 north to Exit 78;

• Take Route 228 eastbound;

• Take Route 8 southbound;

• Re-enter the turnpike at Butler Valley Exit 39.

Detour westbound is as follows:

• Take Route 8 northbound;

• Take Route 228 westbound;

• Take I-79 southbound to Exit 77.

• Re-enter the turnpike at the Cranberry Exit 28.
