A Turtle Creek man is charged with possessing three guns in the William S. Moorhead Federal Building Thursday, in Pittsburgh.

An X-ray security screening detected two loaded 9mm guns in a personal bag carried in the Liberty Avenue building by Jeremy Foster Isaac, 42, according to a criminal complaint filed in federal court. The bag also contained 59 bullets, with one round loaded in each of the guns, the complaint stated.

Isaac was issued two citations for possessing firearms on federal property and a third citation for “failure to conform with signs and directives.”

He was screened again about 20 minutes later because he lacked an ID card when he reentered the building to report to work for his employer, according to the complaint.

Screening with a metal detector revealed he had a third weapon, a .380-caliber pistol loaded with a magazine of six rounds, in his back pants pocket, the complaint indicated.

Isaac appeared by video Thursday before federal Magistrate Judge Cynthia Reed Eddy and was released on $10,000 unsecured bond. He was assigned a public defender and is awaiting a preliminary hearing on Wednesday, Feb. 22.

Eddy authorized the U.S. Marshal Service to remove Isaac’s firearms from his home as a condition of his release.

The Moorhead Building includes offices of the Internal Revenue Service, Army Corps of Engineers, Veterans Benefits Administration, Housing and Urban Development, Military Entrance Processing Command and Social Security Administration.
