Two men were hospitalized after being shot in Pittsburgh’s Perry neighborhood — one Friday night and the other early Saturday morning, Pittsburgh police said.

A man was reported in critical condition and underwent surgery early Saturday morning as a result of being shot at least three times in the 2600 block of Perrysville Avenue shortly before 5 a.m., police said.

On Friday night, police said that a 20-year-old man was shot four times in the 2300 block of Osgood Street in the Perry South neighborhood around 7:45 p.m.

He was transported to the hospital by medics in critical condition, but later upgraded to stable condition, police said.

Two people were transported to police headquarters for questioning in connection with that shooting.

The police department’s violent crimes unit detectives are investigating both shootings and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
