The STEM School Champions program presented award to 14 schools, totaling $140,000 and impacting more than 4,700 students, including 83 who take production courses at Bethel Park.

Arconic Foundation, which partners with nonprofit and community organizations to strengthen communities by enhancing education, has been a supporter of United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania since 2020 and has invested $600,000 over three years in hands-on STEM learning opportunities.

“With rapidly evolving technology affecting our daily lives and careers, STEM education is more critical than ever. Arconic Foundation, in partnership with United Way, is committed to preparing local students for the new opportunities technology will bring,” said Ryan Kish, president and treasurer of Arconic Foundation.

“With many exciting initiatives being fueled by the STEM School Champions program, students will have the chance to hone their skills, find their passions and be inspired to create change.”
