$1.65M Pennsylvania Lottery winner sold at Kiski Township gas station
A Pennsylvania Lottery Cash 5 with Quick Cash ticket that won a $1.65 million jackpot was sold at a Kiski Township gas station.
The ticket matched all five balls drawn Thursday — 8, 12, 18, 31 and 35 — to win the prize, less withholding, the Pennsylvania Lottery announced Friday.
The ticket was sold at a BP Fueland station at 2232 River Road. The station gets a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket, the lottery said.
More than 39,000 other Cash 5 with Quick Cash tickets also won prizes in Thursday’s drawing. While matching all five numbers drawn is needed to win the jackpot, players also win prizes for matching two, three or four winning numbers. Players can select their own numbers or opt for computer-selected “quick picks.”
A main Cash 5 game prize has to be claimed within a year of the drawing date. Any prizes won on any Quick Cash game must be claimed within a year of the purchase date.
Anyone holding a jackpot-winning Cash 5 with Quick Cash ticket should contact the nearest lottery office for instructions, or call 800-692-7481.
Introduced in April 1992, Cash 5 is the Pennsylvania Lottery’s longest-running jackpot game. It was revamped in March as “Cash 5 with Quick Cash” to include a chance to instantly win $2 or $6. As part of the change, tickets increased in cost from $1 to $2.
