A Leechburg man was taken to a Pittsburgh hospital after his motorcycle crashed Wednesday morning in West Leechburg, according to state police.

Joshua Young, 38, suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the crash that happened shortly before 7 a.m. on Main Street, just north of the Summit Street intersection, police said.

Young was traveling south on Main Street when he lost control of his Honda motorcycle just before a right curve in the road, according to police.

He was unable to keep the motorcycle upright and laid it down on the road, said West Leechburg fire Chief Chris Swank.

The man, who was not wearing a helmet, was taken by ambulance to UPMC Presbyterian hospital for evaluation, Swank said.

Traffic in the area was tied up for about 90 minutes, he said.
