11 employers expected to attend PA CareerLink job fair in New Kensington

PA CareerLink Alle-Kiski is at 1150 Fifth Ave., Suite 200, in New Kensington.

There will be a job fair Thursday in New Kensington with nearly a dozen employers looking to hire.

The job fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at PA CareerLink Alle-Kiski, at 1150 Fifth Ave.

Registration is suggested but not required. Those planning to attend can register on the events page at the PA CareerLink website by searching for “PA CareerLink Alle-Kiski Job Fair.”

Those attending should come with their resumes and be prepared for an interview. Those looking for jobs can stop in before the fair to get help developing their resumes and job searching services.

“We are excited to be having a job fair with employers that we work with directly and are ready to hire,” said Rick O’Domes, site administrator for PA CareerLink Alle-Kiski.

Companies scheduled to attend

Employers registered to attend the job fair are Westcom Wireless, Glassmere Fuel Service, Par Mar Stores, Swank Construction, Express Employment Professionals, UPMC St. Margaret hospital, Randstad, Platinum Ridge Center for Rehabilitation and Healing, 7-Eleven, Pace Labs and Filterbuy.

Positions they are hiring for include electronic technicians, heavy diesel mechanics, customer service associates, laborers, delivery drivers, housekeeping, lab technicians and assemblers.

PA CareerLink helps job seekers with finding employment through services including resume help, free workshops, career assistance and training services. It also works with employers on finding qualified candidates to fill open positions with free job postings on its website, training dollars and job applicant screenings.
