A lottery scratch-off ticket worth $1 million was sold at Jadden Stop-N-Go on Constitution Boulevard in Arnold.

A lottery scratch-off ticket worth $1 million was sold in Arnold, Pennsylvania Lottery officials announced Thursday.

The $20 “Cash King” ticket was sold at Jadden Stop-N-Go on Constitution Boulevard.

Gagan Saini, manager of the convenience store, said it feels good to have sold the winning ticket from his store.

The retailer will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Saini said the store sees a large number of customers who stop in to try their luck with scratch-off tickets.

“It’s nice to see someone win that much,” he said. “That’s a pretty solid amount that can change someone’s life.”

Saini said it was the store’s first time selling a winning lottery ticket with such a large prize amount. The person who purchased the ticket is unknown, Saini said.

“People always ask us if we know who won, but we never ask about who wins,” he said. “With that much money won, I am sure they would like to stay private from the public.”

The prize was claimed Wednesday, lottery spokeswoman Diana Dietz said. She said the lottery did not know when it had been sold.

The “Cash King” game started Feb. 19, with five top prizes of $1 million each, Dietz said. The ticket sold in Arnold was the third $1 million winner; two are remaining.

The first $1 million winner was sold at a York County convenience store and claimed March 2, Dietz said. The second was sold in the Alle-Kiski Valley, at Community Supermarket in Lower Burrell, and claimed March 31.

The game will end after all of the top prizes have been claimed.

Scratch-off prizes expire one year from the game’s end-sale date posted online at palottery.com.
