A fire that broke out Saturday morning at a home along Beale Avenue in Leechburg was contained to the kitchen, a fire official said.

No one was home shortly before 9 a.m. Saturday at 260 Beale Ave., according to Jacob Lantz, Leechburg Volunteer Fire Company first assistant chief.

He said no one was injured. Two dogs were home, but were OK.

Lantz said damage was limited to the kitchen. Several windows were opened in an effort to air out the house.

A next door neighbor’s boyfriend was outside having a cigarette when he noticed that the home was on fire and called 911.
