Three people are accused of possessing and using drugs that prompted a woman’s death in Arnold last year, according to Westmoreland County detectives.

Jahid Lamont Hughes, 36, of Arnold and Rashad Thomas Robinson, 33, both of Arnold, and Cameron R. Richards, 50, of Indiana, are charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal conspiracy and endangering the welfare of children.

Just after 11 p.m. May 12, 2024, Arnold police got a report of four people who had overdosed at a home in the 1400 block of Fifth Ave., according to a criminal complaint.

Police located the four people in the house, and the ambulance service took three of them to Allegheny Valley Hospital, the complaint said. The fourth person, Lisa Fallert, died before authorities arrived, the complaint said.

A 7-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy were also inside the house, the complaint said. They were removed from the home and placed with relatives.

Through interviews, detectives determined Fallert was at the home with Richards, Robinson and Hughes celebrating an anniversary, the complaint said.

While searching the home, police found a bag of cocaine near Richards and more baggies of suspected cocaine in Robinson’s wallet and Hughes’ purse, the complaint said. The substance in the bag tested positive for cocaine and fentanyl, the complaint said.

Hughes, Robinson and Richards have preliminary hearings scheduled Sept. 25 before New Kensington District Judge Frank J. Pallone Jr.
