5 things to do in Westmoreland this weekend: Nov. 1-3
Oct. 31 may have come and gone, but seasonal celebrations continue.
And if you enjoy music, your weekend options include both big brass and big hair.
One brewery will celebrate the Day of the Dead, while a winery plans to drown your sorrows with laughs — and maybe a little vino.
The clocks will fall back on Nov. 3. Before it starts to feel like the middle of the night at 6 p.m., get out and enjoy some of this weekend’s full schedule of fun events.
Make some noise
River City Brass will bring a program of patriotic fare and bluegrass anthems to The Palace Theatre, 21 W. Otterman St., Greensburg for a 7:30 p.m. Nov. 2 concert.
The program includes favorites like “America the Beautiful” and “Armed Forces Salute,” with bluegrass offerings including “I’ll Fly Away” and “Blue Moon of Kentucky.”
Tickets for the “Red, White ‘N Bluegrass” concert range from $25-$31.

Nothin' but a good time
If you grew up glued to MTV, hoping Poison would “talk dirty” to you, you’re in luck.
Though the band has not regrouped, Butler native and the band’s former frontman Bret Michaels parties on.
He plays The Palace Theater for an 8 p.m. show Nov. 1, and is expected to pay tribute to his own band with some of its most popular hits. Can he still dance and prance with the best of ‘em?

Red, white and laughter
What local wines pair best with humor?
Let Bella Terra Vineyards be your guide as the Hunker winery hosts “The Winery Comedy Tour” at 8 p.m. Nov. 2.
This new comedy circuit brings nationally recognized comedians to local wine venues to sample the goods and introduce their humor to prospective new fans. A little sip or two should loosen up the stand-ups, and help the audience’s laughter flow easily, as well.
Tickets are $20.
