7 Brew coffee house seeks to set up shop in Harrison
A mid-West coffee giant known for brewing 20,000 unique beverages might be settling into Harrison.
Founded in Arkansas and famous through social media channels, 7 Brew is seeking preliminary approval for lot consolidation along Freeport Road.
The company presented its plan Monday before the township’s planning commission, seeking the green light to consolidate three lots, from 1421 to 1425 Freeport Road.
The properties include a small brick commercial building beside Sheetz that formerly housed a nail salon and a Chinese restaurant.
Township Manager Amy Rockwell said the plan was presented by 7 Brew parent company, WhoBrew LLC. Following the meeting, the township submitted the plan to the Allegheny County Planning Department for review.
County officials have 45 days to provide comment.
The township can’t take action until the county’s comments are received, or the 45-day period has passed, Rockwell said.
WhoBrew LLC will present a final application to the township planning commission on Nov. 3.
As proposed, the 7 Brew would have a drive-thru. The lot is zoned for business.
7 Brew has nearly 500 locations. The nearest to the Alle-Kiski Valley are in Indiana, Pa., and DuBois, Clearfield County.
In addition to coffee, the company serves customized energy drinks and “Fizz’s” made from sparkling water and flavored syrups.
